Electricity

For electricity, the utility company is Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LA DWP).

If you don’t have a social security number, LA DWP requires that you show up in person in order to set up service. Please note that they are not open on the weekends. Check their website for current hours.

Gas

For gas, the utility company is SoCal Gas.

If you don’t have a social security number, then call (877) 238-0092. Choose Option 2, then Option 1.

You will then need to validate your ID. You can show up at their nearest location at 3739 Crenshaw Blvd., Suite C, Los Angeles, CA 90016. We recommend taking a taxi there.

Or you can fax them your Service Request Address, phone number, and 2 forms of photo ID to (213) 244-8335. Valid photo ID’s include a passport, student ID card, etc.

Internet/TV

*Please note that if a cable or internet provider requires any structure to be attached to the property, then owner approval must be obtained first. Without owner approval, the owner reserves the right to remove the structure from the property and charge the tenant for damage incurred.

Internet service providers vary by city and property. Many cable providers also offer internet plans. For internet only, below are common providers.

A: Amenities differ per location, but some of our properties are able to provide washer/dryer hook-ups or in-unit laundry, on-site laundry, a parking space when available for a fee, renovated kitchens and bathrooms, bicycle parking, and mounted A/C and heater units.

A: Yes, we can accommodate students from outside the United States through the touring, applying, leasing, and payment processes without being present in person. Please submit your request using the Contact Page on this website, or use the contact information for the resident manager for the building on Orchard Avenue.

A: Tenants must be in direct contact with a resident manager and have seen the unit prior to receiving an application. Most applications are completed on-site, and the prospective tenants should provide a valid government-issued photo ID along with proof of income when submitting an application. Full credit checks are run on each adult who will occupy the unit. Full-time students will adhere to the student qualification process.
